Sensor names, units and the number of control channels come from configuration, not from code. Change the configuration and the same code draws a different site.

One entry is written every collection cycle. If a node fails to answer, changes address, or is seen to have rebooted, that fact is recorded alongside.

Photographs captured on a schedule and uploaded from the site. They let you confirm crop condition and equipment faults by eye.
Automatic control
The target channel runs when all three conditions below are satisfied. Which measurements are used depends on the configuration.
Saved values are written to the database, and the control logic that runs every 5 minutes decides from them. This is a demonstration environment, so the settings return to their defaults once a day.
